Alice Russell is an English female soul singer from Framlingham in Suffolk, formerly signed to the Tru Thoughts label. Recently known for singing on tracks with Will Holland's Quantic and Quantic Soul Orchestra, she has also performed the lead vocals on a cover of The White Stripes' hit "Seven Nation Army" with Nostalgia 77. In 2008 she performed the vocals on Mr Scruff's track "Music takes me up" from the album Ninja Tuna.

Her solo work is performed in a nine-piece band called "Alice Russell Live". In July 2004, Russell delivered her debut solo album, Under The Munka Moon, for Tru Thoughts Recordings. A mixture of her earlier collaborative efforts and new material, Under The Munka Moon includes tracks written with Bah Samba, Kushti, Nature Boy, and Quantic, with additional production and remix work from Digitek, Atjazz, and Plaid. Alice Russell has claimed her influences include Minnie Ripperton, Eva Cassidy, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Aretha Franklin and Jill Scott.
