The Festival
The Festival “Week-end au bord de l’eau" litterally translated "The week-end by the edge of the lake" was founded in 2007. The Festival has gained an audience since then from all over Switzerland and the neighbouring countries through an advanced programming, friendly atmosphere and its idyllic setting by the lake in the middle of the Swiss Alps. It is organised the first week-end of July every year.

Festival concept
The Festival is organized every year the first weekend of July (beginning of school holidays). It puts in the place of honour groove music and visual arts through swiss and international artists. Many animations will brighten the Festival up like a petanque tournament, street arts and summer activities. As the holiday approaches, the goal of the Festival is to absorb the people in a eco, festive, hot and relaxed atmosphere, while proposing a high quality programming that can be approached and appreciated by everybody.

Festival finance
The Festival association is a non lucrative association. It is managed by a full volunteer comitee of 12 people responsible each of one or several sectors. Since 2011, accouting and administration are managed by professionnal companies.
The Festival budget is financed by 50% ticketing, 25% food & beverage, 15% sponsoring and 10% of grants.
The city of Sierre is according a yearly grant of 15'000 CHF.
